Dr. Joseph Nicolosi of NARTH Demonstrates the ‘Grey Zone’

In what appears to be a parody reference to one of the videos recently added to the website of the National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH), someone using the nickname “planetnarth” has posted the video linked above to Youtube. We received an email, presumably from the same person, notifying us of it and so we are sharing it with you.

The parody, which appears to share some audio from this video, effectively illustrates the vague and unscientific nature of Nicolosi’s theories. As we have noted before, many such theories are based on little more than opinion and anecdotal claims while contradictory information is ignored – the antithesis of the scientific method.

Oh my merciful crap, I near well spit out what I was drinking when Nicolosi’s own words appeared on screen in pink during his CNN tantrum.

As someone has already asked privately, let me make clear that we can’t take credit for the video. If we had made it, we would have placed it in our own YT account. Doing something like this has occurred to us, but there just hasn’t been time and talent available. Whoever did obviously went to great lengths to keep it in fair use, as a result of the threats we discussed before I would imagine. However, parody, especially for the purpose of illustrating an alternate view, is part of free speech (at least in the US).

FYI, the name of the person who emailed the notification to us was “Doug Narthian” so I have to believe it’s an alias. I also didn’t realize until one of our writers just told me that “Narth” is a planet in the Star Wars mythology. I thought the format of some of the text had a rather Star Wars flavor to it, lol.

I’ve been inspired…..a poem AND an obscure reference

    A Haiku

    Old Nick-a-loosie.
    Irritable and goosey.
    Hey! NARTH rhymes with Darth.

Narth Vader, oh that’s good. I’m emailing the Doug Narthian guy and suggest it as a new alias, lol.

Sometimes you just have to step back and ask, “Are these people for real?” It’s one thing to be an idiot; it’s another thing to expose yourself on television to the world proving you’re an idiot!

I feel sorry for these people who have a limited god who is only capable of loving them only if certain conditions are met.

Neener. Neener. Neener. G loves me better than he loves you. G doesn’t even like you.

You’re right, alan. A very limited notion of G, one that could only be thought up by a very limited mind.
