Angela Phillips has also joined the two other researchers in complaining about quoting her research:

From the Truth Wins Out press release James Dobson Rebuked on Video for Distorting Research of NYU Professor Carol Gilligan:

Excerpt:

Dear James Dobson:

It has come to my attention that my book “The Trouble with Boys” has been seriously mis-represented in writings by James Dobson.

Having read his newsletter; “How Boys Learn to Become Men” on the Focus on the Family web site I was incensed to find that I have been quoted as a source for suggesting that:

“The high incidence of homosexuality occurring in Western nations is related, at least in part, to the absence of positive male influence when boys are moving through the first crisis of child development.”

Well, the BIG news is that a THIRD academian has emerged to complain about Dobson. Angela Phillips at University of London is complaining about Dobson’s misuse and misrepresentation of her book on a separate article on the Focus web site.

Wayne Besen is doing an incredible job getting holding Dobson’s feet to the fire. My prayer and hope is that this will gain national media attention because Dobson needs to be exposed for the fraud and liar he really is. He hides behind his religious facade with the support of his followers.

I honestly wish that thes academians would file a class action law suit against James Dobson and Focus on the Family. If this happens maybe J.D. will think twice next time he tries to take hard earned research out of context. The bottom line is that this tyrant’s empire makes over 150 million dollars a year.
