Exgays’ Extreme Makeover?

October 3rd, 2005

Focus on the Family — heavily staffed by exgays — participated in this weekend’s episode of Extreme Makeover on ABC.

With ample profanity (and a bit of humorous insight), Good As You commented beforehand.

But I’m a dry sort — a “just the facts, ma’am” sort of man.

If anyone has access to a transcript or excerpts, please comment and let readers know what transpired.

Someone who watched the show told me Focus was never mentioned by name.

Looks like the episode wasn’t a ratings bonanza.

As has been the case for much of the past year, ABC easily controlled Sunday’s ratings, although “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” slipped some from its past heights.

CBS moved into the lead at 8 p.m. with a strong showing from “Cold Case,” 10.7/16. “EM: Home Edition” was second for ABC at 8.4/13, down more than a point from last week. “The Simpsons” and “The War at Home” averaged 5.4/8 for FOX, keeping NBC and “The West Wing” in fourth. “Charmed” posted a 2.4/4 for The WB.
