A rather creative video to demonstrate the folly of blaming the fall of the Western World on gay marriage. [brief underwear clip]
The mysterious “Doug Narthian” has created another parody (link above) which should require very little explanation. As with most good parody, there is a healthy dose of sarcasm, but only as much as is appropriate to illustrate a contrary point of view. In this case, the subject really does deserve the attention.
In what appears to be a parody reference to one of the videos recently added to the website of the National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH), someone using the nickname “planetnarth” has posted the video linked above to Youtube. We received an email, presumably from the same person, notifying us [...]
Since 2003, Peterson Toscano has put his quirky talent to use performing his original play, Doin’ Time in the Homo No Mo Halfway House–How I Survived the Ex-Gay Movement. He has used it to tell his own story of attempted change and thereby reflect those of many others. He and his play served as an [...]
If you enjoyed the Celluloid Closet, you might want to set your Tivo for this. On Monday and Wednesday evenings, for the month of June (starting tonight), Turner Classic Movies is featuring films from 1912 to 1969 which contain gay themes – 44 in all. Source: CitizenLink.com Nationally syndicated radio host Glenn Beck shared with his listeners today an allegation published in USA Today that Dr. James Dobson had said former U.S. Sen. Fred Thompson not Christian enough to be president. CNN and other national media outlets also have carried the report. Within the hour, the founder and chairman of [...]
Source: thisjustin.com If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video must be priceless. If only the damaged lives were equally humorous. Here’s to a future where ex-gay organizations stop hawking cures, making empty promises and lobbying Congress, and actually help those who feel their faith is incongruous with their sexual orientation while [...]
[O]pponents say the prospect of same-sex book-borrowing endangers the moral fiber of the country’s most sacred reading traditions. “What’s next—gay people at the DMV, being granted licenses to drive cars?” Rev. Brian Peters of Verona, WI said. “Will we be soon seeing gays and lesbians at our local post offices, being sold stamps and mailing [...]
On New Years Eve, 1879, W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan presented their comic opera The Pirates of Penzance. Although a social satire of English sensibilities, the production’s launch was in New York to (ironically) deter pirating of their work. Those old enough may recall Linda Ronstadt, Rex Smith, and Kevin Kline in the 1983 [...]
Over the weekend I was at a pro-gay conference called Love Breaks Out which is a response to the ex-gay conference Love Won Out in Palm Springs a month ago. One of the most well known ex-gay ministries is named Love in Action. Wayne Besen formed an organization called Truth Win Out to counter ex-gay [...]
