Concerned Women for America reports that a federal court has sided with the state of Connecticut against the Boy Scouts of America.

The BSA was ousted from state workers’ payroll deduction program for charities, and the court upheld the state action.

Robert Knight of CWA and Richard F. Collier Jr., an antigay New Jersey attorney, fear that soon “no Christians need apply” for participation in the public square.

Implicit in their statement is the odd assertion that one isn’t Christian unless one uses public facilities and taxpayer subsidies to discriminate against gay people of faith.

Meanwhile, the United Church of Christ joins two other denominations in calling on the Boy Scouts to stop discriminating against gays.
